The Manzanilla Visitor Centre (Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cadiz), or CIMA, is located in the well-known Sanlúcar Covachas:
a late 15th-century porticoed gallery dedicated to commerce on the central Cuesta de Belén and adjacent to the city's current food market and the Ducal Palace. This iconic space in the city of Sanlúcar, declared a historical-artistic monument in 1978 alongside the residence of the Dukes of Medina Sidonia, has reopened its doors today following an extensive renovation and refurbishment.
In this same market where the ships that sailed around the world with Sanlúcar wine set out 500 years ago, a new chapter is unfolding for Manzanilla today as it becomes home to the Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda Foundation. It is a space dedicated to sharing and deepening the knowledge of this unique wine, carrying forward the same spirit of bringing the essence of Sanlúcar, embodied in wine, to the world.
