The Church of Santa Marina, located in Andújar (Jaén), is a three-aisled church divided into four sections. The first section retains its original ribbed vault, unlike the other three, which feature barrel vaults decorated with lunettes, the edges of which are finished with a border. Between the lunettes of each section is an eight-pointed star.
Its main chapel was remodelled in the 17th century. It has a square layout covered with a semi-dome vault supported by pendentives, where the coats of arms with the lineage of Pedro and Luis Pérez de Vargas y Palomino are found. Its two doorways are very simple, the one at the foot being in the Baroque style, presenting a greater sense of monumentality.
The temple housed a Virgin of Carmen and a Christ of the Battles, which was brought to the city by Ferdinand III and was displayed on the Epistle side, in the Main Chapel.
Currently, the Church of Santa Marina functions as a space for sociocultural events managed by the City Council.
