Popularly known as the "Temple of the Patron", the "Iglesia Santuario de la Virgen del Mar" was built in the 16th century, and subsequently restored after the Spanish Civil War.
It has two 19th-century doors and conserves inside the image of the Patron Saint of Almeria (The Virgin of the Sea), a polychrome carving from the 12th-14th centuries.
