Description
Published by"La Judea" Museum is located in the town of Iznájar, Cordoba, and provides a detailed view of one of the most emblematic traditions of Easter Week in Iznájar. Opened in 2007 thanks to the collaboration of the Iznájar Town Council, the "Rafael Botí" Plastic Arts Foundation and the La Judea Populus Iudici Cultural Association, this museum allows visitors to learn about the history and importance of "La Judea" in local processions. "La Judea" represents the Jewish people at the time of Jesus Christ and actively participates in the processions of Iznájar, especially in the Good Friday processions. This tradition dates back to the 17th century, when they belonged to the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno and took part in the "Paso Antiguo" (Old Way), representing the Passion in the streets.
