Description
Published byThe Atalaya Museums are located on the edge of the historic centre of Jeréz, next to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. The estate occupies almost two hectares and is located in gardens dating back to 1860, considered historic and protected. The incredible museum of antique clocks, "Palace of Time", takes centre stage. The venue has three spaces:
* Meeting and Events Centre, with a winery profile since it has adapted two wine cellars from 1881 for the new function, joined by a typical patio. "El Misterio de Jeréz" is the winery adapted into a multimedia hall (soundproof) and welcome hall, focusing on the culture of Jeréz wine. It integrates updated audiovisual media for 360º video projections on large-format screens (4 m high x 16 m long). Stage and seats not attached to the surface (wooden) allow for a huge variety of setups and formats. Ideal for presentations, award ceremonies, conferences, congresses, fashion shows and much more. Theatre capacity: 350 people.
* The Atalaya Gardens are designed with a 19th century French landscaping approach and have botanical species of great value, listed as Historic Gardens of Andalusia. A true "green museum".
* El Palacio del Tiempo is the most characteristic space of theAtalaya Museums, a neoclassical-Victorian palace from 1850 that displays the unique collection of 287 period clocks (17th to 19th century), many of which are still working. There are 9 halls arranged in a row, highlighting pieces from the golden age of European mechanical watchmaking with signatures of master watchmakers such as Frodsham, Losada, Berthoud, Guydamour, Lepaute, Robin, Leroy, Taylor, Marwick & Markham, Lepine, etcétera.
