Carissa Aurelia Archaeological Site

The archaeological site of Carissa Aurelia in Espera, Cádiz, is a well-preserved Roman treasure. Its walls, ancient streets and northern and southern necropolises reveal the rich history of this Roman city. Abandoned in the sixth century, the site was designated a Cultural Property in 2003 and offers the possibility of future excavations and museum development to further enrich its historical legacy.
