Description

Published by
A settlement of Phoenician and Roman origin, where the "Bronze of Lascuta" was discovered – the earliest known Roman inscription in Spain, dating back to 189 BC and currently preserved in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Today, the Roman site of La Mesa del Esparragal is home to a Visigothic tower built using remains of Roman structures similar to those scattered across the surrounding plateau.
