Bodegas La Cigarrera

La Cigarrera is an Ageing and Shipping winery in the old city centre of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, between the districts of Barrio Alto and Barrio Bajo. It has three ageing facilities (Bodega de Colóm, Bodega de Cabral and Bodega de Sarnilla) arranged around a pretty Andalusian courtyard.

Bodegas La Cigarrera strictly adheres to the traditional standards used throughout the wine ageing process, endorsed by the “Jerez-Xérès-Sherry” and “Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda” Designations of Origin.

To promote both our wine culture and the history of our town, a few years ago we decided to open the winery to tourists and the general public. The tour lasts approximately 20-25 minutes, ending with a tasting of our exquisite wines in the privileged setting of our 18th century wine cellar courtyard, which is decorated with old winery tools that give it the air of a museum.

Bodegas La Cigarrera also offers the Taberna-restaurant, a traditional establishment integrated into the winery itself and decorated with winery and bullfighting motifs, where you can sample the superb local gastronomy that complements our wines to perfection.
