Casa Cueva - Cueva de La Carrita

‘La Cueva de la Carrita’ is located in one of the accesses to the Cerro de San Cristóbal, in the Carril de Santa María, which connected the suburb with the Villa Vieja. It is one of the few existing and visible remains of the neighbourhood known as the Cuevas de Orán, excavated in the hillside of the Cerro. These caves remained inhabited until 1963, the year in which they were evicted, some of them partially destroyed and buried, remaining hidden until a few years ago.
