Description

Casa Ordóñez is a noble baroque building built in the second half of the 17th century, located on calle Granada de Bornos (Cádiz) and part of the town council. It can be visited and booked for events.
This two-story building is separated on the façade by a cornice. The façade has a large doorway sheltered between two Tuscan pilasters with fluted shafts and an unadorned entablature with a central balcony above it, flanked by the coat of arms of the Ordóñez family. Both the façade and the shields are carved in mottled pink stone.
The spaces inside the building are arranged around a main courtyard with an upper gallery, with a first body of semicircular arches on Tuscan marble columns, and a second body with rectangular balconies.
It has a secondary and simpler patio, with a side gallery of arches, like a viewpoint, topped by cubic battlements and a pyramid top. The structure is made of load-bearing adobe walls and forged with exposed wooden beams, which have been fully treated and restored.
