In Seville, the Museo Casa de la Guitarra stands in an eighteenth century building in the historical area of the city, in the heart of the Santa Cruz Quarter (The Jewish Quarter). The museum offers a flamenco cultural centre founded by José Luis Postigo, a prestigious and successful guitarist who has been part of the flamenco scene for over 45 years, and who has also won important national prizes.
The Museo Casa de la Guitarrais the first guitar museum. Here visitors can admire over 60 items from the last three hundred years.
Visitors can also enjoy a daily Flamenco show. The show, which is authentic and traditional, lasts one hour, and is designed for all sorts of local and international audiences.
In other words, the Museo Casa de la Guitarra offers the chance to discover the guitar and flamenco from an authentic, different and experienced standpoint.
