The Huércal-Overa Water Museum is an interpretation centre dedicated to highlighting the importance of water in human life and its influence on the history of the region. Located in the old building that housed the elevation pumps of the Tajo-Segura water transfer, the museum offers a detailed view of the rational use of water over time. Inside, the museum features models, information panels, original artefacts and audiovisual displays that illustrate the various techniques of water management, from traditional methods such as centring and water wheels to modern drip irrigation technologies. Outside, visitors can see a water wheel and a well in operation, as well as other historical equipment related to the extraction and distribution of water.
