Michel Giacometti Museum of Labor
MuseumSetúbal, Portugal
Description
Published byThis space was born from the transformation of the former “Perienes” cannery into a museum dedicated to the diverse economic activities of the region.
Dedicated to the world of work, the Michel Giacometti Museum of Labor was designed to reflect the three sectors of the economy, highlighting industrial heritage, urban trades linked to commerce and services, and the old canning and lithography factories located in the municipality of Setúbal. Discover also the permanent exhibitions “The Canning Industry (From Auction to Can),” “Rural World: Michel Giacometti Ethnographic Collection and the Genesis of the Museum,” and “Mercearia Liberdade: A Heritage to Safeguard.” Upon leaving, nearby, admire the city and the Sado River by walking to one of its most beautiful viewpoints, the… São Sebastião Viewpoint.
