The Lithographic Museum has the most complete lithographic collection from the 19th. century in Spain. It has numerous newspapers with different techniques and models, more than a thousand lithographed stones, design and drawing tables, pantographs, guillotines, binding equipment, etc.
The Lithographic Museum originates from the ancient German lithography of Cádiz, that started in 1861 and was in operation for artistic printing until the late 20th century.
It's one of the few museums of this genre in Spain and the most complete as well as being an international landmark. Because it has over a thousand lithographed stones, design tables, print tests and guillotines to manually and industrially reproduce texts and images with exceptional quality. It also has relics which still work in the hands of specialist printing artists.
