Puppet Theatre of El Retiro

Located within El Retiro Park, very close to the entrance from Plaza de la Independencia, where the Puerta de Alcalá is located, is the Puppet Theatre, a true institution for Madrid's children, who have been enjoying its family-friendly programming since the 1950s.

It features a permanent, open-air, and free annual program. There are performances every weekend of the year (with special dates at Christmas), in the morning during winter and in the afternoon during summer.

Free tickets for the shows will be available on the theatre's website.

In case of adverse weather conditions, the program may be suspended without prior notice.
