Cacalotenango Waterfall
Natural siteCacalotenango, Mexico
Description
Published byThe Cacalotenango waterfall originates from the Plan de Campos stream, nestled between El Cedro mountain. It features two impressive cascades, the tallest reaching 170 meters and the shortest 80 meters, where a pool forms at the base, perfect for cooling off.
The elevated mountainous terrain and forested area allow for ecotourism adventure activities such as rappelling, zip-lining, caving, horseback riding, treks through pine and oak forests, hiking, camping, and trekking in both the upper and lower sections.
You can also admire the landscapes from its viewpoint, where, amidst mountains, mist, and the iconic waterfall, you can capture the beauty of nature with your eyes and camera.
Due to its temperate-humid climate, we recommend wearing comfortable, cool clothing and bringing eco-friendly mosquito repellent.
