Center for Dynamization, Awareness and Defense of the Cultural and Traditional Heritage of Gualchos

The Center for Dynamization, Awareness and Defense of the Cultural and Traditional Heritage of Gualchos is designed to make the visitor aware of the Heritage in general and the Ethnological Heritage in particular, since in recent years it is acquiring an undisputed prominence as an element of cultural identity.
When we talk about Ethnological Heritage we mean culture in the broad sense of the word and at the same time it is a clear economic resource, due to its great possibilities in relation to cultural tourism, which is an alternative and a complementary offer to the traditional “sun and beach.”
The tourist profile has been changing in recent years, the cultural level is increasing and the demand for cultural services in rural areas has been growing. The Bank of Sensations offers visitors of any age a walk through times for some close and for others remote, bringing us closer to the uses and customs, to the daily life of the towns of the lower Alpujarra that overlook the sea. Sensations of other times entering the rooms of a traditional house with all its belongings and tools donated by the residents of the town, who have been participants in this project.
