Located in the Cibeles Palace, the seat of the City Council, this public contemporary art center, Paseo del Arte, pays special attention to the vibrant creative pulse of Madrid, showcasing the work of active artists from all generations and disciplines in its galleries, becoming a meeting point between the city's artistic talent, the public, and cultural agents. CentroCentro boasts a multidisciplinary program that encompasses all artistic expressions (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, graphic design, performance, and more), although exhibitions are the central axis around which the rest of the activities are structured: meetings, guided tours with curators and artists, workshops, artist residencies, as well as music and micro-theater, among other cultural offerings. Furthermore, since December 2022, the Patio de Operaciones has housed the Center for the Interpretation of the Landscape of Light, an educational space where visitors can discover the values it holds. This area, comprising the Paseo del Prado, the Jerónimos neighborhood, and the Retiro Park, was declared a World Heritage Site on July 25, 2021. The various exhibition areas are distributed across more than 8,000 square meters on floors 1, 3, 4, and 5. Since May 16, 2025, CentroCentro has featured a new space on floor 5, the Rafael Canogar Space, which will house the international program expected to begin in 2026. This space pays tribute to the Toledo-born artist, who made Madrid his home, and was one of the pioneers of contemporary Spanish art and a leading figure in Informalism. The Auditorium is located on a lower level. With a capacity of 262 people and fully accessible, it can host activities of different formats such as conferences, presentations, or concerts. The Cibeles Palace also houses three restaurants: the Café Cibeles café-restaurant and the Cornamusa Cibeles restaurant, located on the ground floor and sixth floor, respectively; and on the sixth floor, the Azotea Cibeles, a modern space where you can have a drink, cocktail, or snacks while enjoying unbeatable views of the Plaza de Cibeles and the Madrid skyline. On the eighth floor, you can enjoy some of the best views of the city from its Mirador Madrid viewpoint.
