Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church

According to historical documents, this church was built on the same site where, in 1616, construction began on the hermitage that would be demolished 30 years later for lack of donations from the crown. It is believed that there was originally a mosque on this site. Built on a single nave plan to which the crypt, sacristy and chapel are attached, it was blessed in 1652, with Baroque ornamentation being added in the mid-18th century, of which the pictorial representation covering the side walls, vaults and domes is particularly noteworthy.
