An urban park bordered by Ramón y Cajal, Marcenado, and San Ernesto streets, which has housed remnants of the Berlin Wall since November 1990. The space features attractive ornamental fountains, ample seating areas, children's play areas, shrubbery, and extensive groves of trees.
In addition, there is a monument to the German composer Ludwig von Beethoven, whose bust sits atop a granite sculpture of a piano from Quintana de la Serena and a bear representing the city of Berlin, as well as a small auditorium.
The main fountain, located opposite the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the lower part of the park, is dedicated to the Fall of the Berlin Wall. The park, created in 1967, is named for its proximity to the German School and for the planned visit to Madrid in 1966 by the then-mayor of Berlin, Willy Brandt (which finally took place in 1967). Germans residing in Madrid financed a monolith in honor of their city, which was placed in the park and remains there today, although the ceramic plaque is not the original.
