The Water Park extends from the Ranillas meander, next to the International Exposition grounds.
Covering approximately 120 hectares, it is a new concept in urban parks, combining ample green spaces, services, and activities for all citizens.
The main objective is to strengthen the city's connection to its surroundings, preserving the most natural environments in the meander. The activities promoted here are recreational, with facilities and services, and a clear focus on water. More than 30 activities can be enjoyed outside of the open and recreational use (horse riding, canoeing, multi-adventure activities, bicycle rental, etc.), as well as access to more than 15 kilometers of cycle paths. Along with the botanical reserve areas, the Park contains more than 11,000 trees. Since 2008, it has held the certification awarded by the Spanish agency AENOR. It has also received the international "Green Globe" certification for environmental, social, and economic sustainability, becoming the first green space in all of Europe to achieve this accreditation. Children's Playground: The children's play area located south of the Water Park, on the Botanical Walk, covers an area of more than 3,000 square meters. Recognized with the "Golden Swing" Award for the best children's play area in Spain, in the category of cities with more than 250,000 inhabitants. The award was granted by the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens. It has capacity for more than one hundred children to play simultaneously. In total, it has more than 20 play elements aimed at children between the ages of 4 and 12. Highlights include a tower with two slides over 4 meters high, a climbing pyramid, a children's soccer field, as well as swings, seesaws, playhouses, and a hopscotch court, among others. There are also seven other public children's play areas in the surrounding area: three in the Expo Zone and four in the Water Park (two play areas and two water features). There are also private children's play areas on the beaches and in the Adventure Park. Finally, expanding the leisure and recreation options for children, it features an 18-hole mini-golf course with a large terrace and its own children's play area.
