The Goya Museum, Ibercaja Collection-Camón Aznar Museum, located in the Palace of Los Pardo, is the only place in the world that permanently exhibits the complete collection of Goya's engravings: Los Caprichos, Los Desastres de la Guerra, La Tauromaquia, Los Disparates, and Los Toros de Burdeos, the latter created when he was seventy-nine years old.
This Renaissance palace, also known as Casa Aguilar, which houses the museum, displays paintings, drawings, and the five major series of engravings by Goya.
In addition, you will find works by artists who were contemporaries and later figures of Goya, all of whom he inspired.
Built in the 16th century, the Palace originally belonged to the nobleman Jerónimo Cósida and his wife Violante de Albión. After passing through various owners, it served as the headquarters of the Captaincy General during the War of Independence and as the residence of the Captaincy General of Aragon.
It also housed the School of Music, the Film Library, and the Camón Aznar Humanities Museum.
