Caesaraugusta Forum Museum

Description

The Roman Forum was located beneath the alabaster cube, underground in what is now La Seo Cathedral, and contains archaeological remains from the times of Augustus and Tiberius.
A nerve center and the main meeting place where the social, religious, civic, political, and economic life of Caesaraugusta unfolded, it was situated next to the river port, rather than at the intersection of the Cardo (Don Jaime Street) and the Decumanus (Mayor, Espoz y Mina, and Manifestación Streets), due to the importance of river trade at the time.
Inside, several fragments of Roman-era lead pipes stand out, corresponding to a 26-meter section that supplied water to a central fountain, as well as the interior of the large sewer commissioned by Tiberius, which served to evacuate the city's wastewater, transporting it to the Ebro River.
