Opened in 1888, this century-old cider house, the oldest and most traditional in Madrid, is one of the city's iconic establishments, located halfway between the Hermitage of San Antonio de la Florida, where you can admire frescoes by the painter Francisco de Goya, and the Príncipe Pío train station. The Parque de la Bombilla, with its open-air cinema, and Madrid Río are other nearby tourist attractions. Housed in what was once a railway warehouse, Casa Mingo is spread over two floors. Its decor maintains the traditional charm of its origins, with the presence of wood, barrels, and bottles. It also boasts two large terraces, perfect for the summer season. Its menu offers tapas and larger portions at reasonable prices, with roast chicken, chorizo cooked in cider, and, of course, artisanal ciders, made in the traditional way on-site, being its most popular dishes. It's worth noting that their Madrid-style stew is available from Monday to Friday. Casa Mingo has been awarded a Repsol Sun for being a charming, authentic, and affordable place.
