Cibeles Bagpipe

In addition to the Café Cibeles cafeteria, Madrid City Hall's sixth floor houses this rooftop restaurant, currently managed by the Azotea Group. This elegant establishment offers magnificent views of the surrounding area from its terrace (open during the summer months), at a height of 70 meters.

At Cornamusa, you can enjoy haute cuisine created by chefs Jesús Almagro and Manuel Berganza, who have developed a menu that pays homage to the best of Madrid's gastronomy. Their offering is complemented by a diverse selection of cocktails, crafted by the group's director of bars and mixology, Luca Anastasio.

The restaurant's interior design is by the studio of Alejandra Pombo. Cornamusa welcomes diners with an imposing oval bar made of stone with garnet-colored slats. The interior tables are arranged around a central skylight, achieving perfect symmetry in the space. Both the furniture and the lighting reflect the honesty of the materials. The restaurant has an indoor dining room with seating for about 60 guests and an outdoor terrace with views that can accommodate 65 people. The restaurant also pays tribute to the emblematic building that houses it, the former Palace of Post and Telecommunications, and to its former tenant, Correos (the Spanish postal service), before it became the headquarters of Madrid's City Council. There are several nods to the history of this public company, such as the uniforms worn by the restaurant staff, inspired by former Correos employees, the letter opener used to open the menu, and the bill typed on an old typewriter.
