The origin of the Parish Church of San Pablo was a hermitage dedicated to Saint Blaise, erected in 1118, which attained the status of a parish and changed its name in 1259.
Shortly afterwards, the hermitage was demolished and replaced by a larger church, built in the Gothic-Mudéjar style.
Subsequent expansions, carried out from the 14th to the 18th centuries, completed the grand building that stands today.
In 2001, UNESCO declared the complex formed by the Tower and Church of San Pablo a World Heritage Site, granting it this recognition for being a unique example of Aragonese Mudéjar architecture.
The interior of the church, in turn, treasures works of great interest, among which the altarpiece and doors of the main altar, the choir with the Gothic organ, and the chapels stand out. Baroque.
All of the above is the result of the fusion, over many centuries, of history, art, religiosity, and traditions, which we have been sharing for more than ten years through various types of visits, all under the common theme MUDÉJAR... AND MORE.
