Moncloa Lighthouse

Ascending to the Moncloa Lighthouse viewpoint is quite an experience. Just let your gaze wander through its enormous windows to contemplate a succession of monuments: the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral, the Telefónica building on Gran Vía, the Four Towers… And, always in the background, the peaks of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range. Tickets can be purchased in the main lobby of the lighthouse or online. The viewpoint features an information railing that reviews the growth and evolution of the city throughout its history. The railing includes scale models of 51 of the main buildings and landmarks visible from here, accompanied by interesting facts and trivia, in both Spanish and English. Torrespaña, the Cibeles Palace, the San Isidro Cemetery, and the "Corona de Espinas" Historical Heritage Center are some of them.
