Barceló Market

This market, located in the Chueca neighborhood, is a landmark for food and gastronomy for locals and tourists alike. After undergoing a complete renovation, the site where the new building, designed by the Nieto y Sobejano architecture studio, now stands was once home to what was considered the first supermarket in Spain.

It features traditional food stalls and other services, several restaurants, a children's entertainment area, and, on its rooftop, a restaurant-terrace where you can enjoy healthy cuisine and a garden in the heart of the city, the Azotea Barceló. In addition, the upper floors of the market house the Barceló Municipal Sports Center, a comprehensive 4,000-square-meter gym dedicated to sports.
