Barley Market

Located in the city center, it is one of Madrid's largest food markets. Opened in 1875, it offers all kinds of top-quality products and the friendly service of its vendors. The current market (built in 1958 and renovated in 2013) has two floors with over 6,000 square meters of commercial space, housing approximately 80 shops, including food vendors (butchers, delicatessens, fruit shops, fishmongers, poultry shops) and other specialized establishments such as perfumeries, opticians, florists, and upholsterers. In addition to the two floors, there is a storage floor and a parking garage. In addition to its commercial offerings, it features Espacio Cebada, a 120m² space fully equipped with ventilation, air conditioning, and heating, ideal for hosting all kinds of events and recordings. The market organizes MadridZebada, "The Wind Market," on the first Sunday of each month (except August), from 12 pm to 5 pm. This market offers a wide variety of products, including fashion, design, crafts, music, gifts, home decor, art, cosmetics, natural products, and packaged food, among others.
