The Vallehermoso municipal market opened its doors in 1933, and its architectural structure was innovative compared to other shopping centers of the time. Its colorful, traditional façade makes it impossible to miss, standing prominently on the corner of Vallehermoso and Fernando el Católico streets, underscoring the prominence the market once had and still retains. Since September 2017, it has boasted a new look and the innovative concept of a permanent farmers' market. The market brings together various stalls with a carefully curated selection of quality food at good prices, including butchers, fishmongers, fruit and vegetable shops, dairies, poultry shops, bakeries, and specialty stores with Italian products, spices, and teas, among others. The ground floor of the market houses the Producers' Gallery, made up of artisan food businesses offering traditionally made foods at fair prices, respectful of the environment and sourced from the nearby local area. These include fresh produce, eggs, meat, snails, milk, etc., and prepared foods such as sausages, liqueurs, smoked goods, cheeses, coffee, chocolate, croquettes, and empanadas, among others. The area also includes a tasting space where you can enjoy the products on-site. In addition, the market offers a variety of culinary offerings from diverse cultures (Argentine, Japanese, Thai, etc.) and a wide range of leisure and entertainment activities.
