Zoo Aquarium

This 20-hectare park located in the heart of the Casa de Campo is much more than a traditional zoo. It is a space where conservation, education, and technological innovation combine to offer visitors a unique experience. The park includes a state-of-the-art aquarium and an interactive aviary, all designed to bring nature closer in a more immersive and exciting way.

The Madrid Zoo Aquarium leads the way in in-situ and ex-situ conservation programs, creating environments that replicate natural habitats as faithfully as possible. Each of the more than 500 species is carefully grouped according to zoogeographical criteria, offering visitors the opportunity to see the animals as if they were in their own environment.

With over 3,000 animals, the park boasts an incredible diversity, from mammals and birds to exotic fish. Here you can find iconic and endangered species such as giant pandas, Iberian lynxes, koalas, red pandas, Asian rhinos, and gorillas. You'll also discover treasures of the animal kingdom like giant tortoises, bald eagles, and Saharan gazelles. One of the most recent innovations is IrenIA, an interactive virtual assistant and pioneer in the use of artificial intelligence and synthetic biology. Cloned from an animal caretaker, IrenIA is designed to enhance the visitor experience by offering real-time information about the species, helping to plan your visit, and facilitating interaction with the park. Likewise, in "Land of the Gorillas," you can experience a new virtual reality immersion to fully immerse yourself in the wildest scenes.
